Getting Track Names from the Internet - CD Data Base Now we want to get the CD data for your CD from the Internet. To do this you must have put your email address in the Configurations and you must be connected to the Internet with a Music CD in your CD-ROM drive. And I assume you have done both. 1. Now select the "CDDB menu" and from it select “Read Remote CDDB”. IF your CD is registered with the CDDB WEB site then CDex will download your Music CD data and place it in the CDex window. If the CDDB WEB site does not have the data for your CD then Select the "Options Menu" then "Settings" then the “Remote CDDB” tab and from the “Remote Server” drop down list select another CDDB server and give it a try by closing the "CDex configuration" and selecting "CDDB menu" and from it select “Read Remote CDDB”. 2. Now you have your data in which CDex will use for naming purposes when you read or rip (or copy) a track from your CD to your hard drive as an MP3 file. 3. Now go back to the CDex Main Page and select the next Tutorial. Have a question? Need help?
